Our Canada!

I'm proud to be living in the Great White North,
where we celebrate greatness July first, not fourth.
Where the maple leaf is our symbol of pride,
we would give our lives for the red and the white.

We are the friendliest folk you will ever know,
we like our hockey and we play in the snow.
If you have a Loonie, it's not crazy at all,
and a Toonie will get you a Tim's in the mall.

We grab our beer and go for a rip,
the bigger the wheels, the better the trip.
We take a vacation for hunting season
and help each other out for no special reason.

We love our country so free and strong,
where life is good and Winters are long.
Where we least forget and always remember,
our country's heroes on the 11th of November.

God bless Canada!

To my love on Valentine

by Ilona Rosenthal Payne

Have you ever had a beautiful dream,
where all was good and love was the scene?
And then you wake up in an old, dreary morning,
the toast is burnt and the car shows a warning.

You make it  to work, put a smile on your face,
start today's big load in your small little space.
When the door opens up and your heart skips a beat,
when he looks in your eyes and knocks you off your feet.

That day was the day, when I woke up to a dream,
where live is good, and love is the scene.
That day was the day, when I met you, My Love,
and I'm eternally thankful to the giver above.

I love you!
